Volunteer Opportunities:

Students can select from a variety of roles based on their interests and skills:

1. Community Garden Support: Assist in planting, harvesting, and maintaining reTHink’s gardens.

2. Plastic Sorting and Up-cycling Center: Help with sorting plastic waste and transforming it into reusable materials.

3. Educational Classes: Aid instructors in conducting workshops on sustainability, waste reduction, and more.

4. Store Operations: Help keep reTHink’s zero-waste store open, assist customers, and promote eco-friendly products.

5. Digital Media and Sales: Support marketing efforts by creating content for social media, promoting events, and helping with online sales.

 

Skills Gained:

By participating in this program, you will:

• Develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

• Learn about environmental sustainability, waste management, and urban gardening.

• Gain practical experience in digital marketing, sales, and event planning.

 

Annual Volunteer Dinner & Recognition:

At the end of each year, all volunteers will be celebrated during a formal Annual Volunteer Dinner. Here, awards will be presented based on hours completed, and students will have the chance to network with community leaders, educators, and environmental professionals.
